Actor Daniel Craig will be back with the 25th film of the James Bond franchise. The 52 years old star is going to be Bond for the fifth time in the last film of James Bond series. Eon Productions as always produced the film.
But this time the surprise is elsewhere. A young American filmmaker named Cary Joji Fukunaga has directed the film. On September 20, 2018,film authority announced that Fukunaga would be the director of the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die. He will be the first American filmmaker to direct an official Bond film.
Cary Joji Fukunaga was not the first choice for directing Bond’s 25th film. The famous director of Arival, Denis Villeneuve and Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle were the top preference. However, Hollywood directors Christopher Nolan and Edgar Wright were also in the preference list to direct the Film in the Bond franchise.
Bond lovers may think- ‘what new additions or surprises may be in the main plot of series last film?’ Although not much is known about this but it is confirmed from trusted film sources that the script of the film will be based on the present time. The probable release scheduled for 12 November 2020. It will be the first film in the series which distributed internationally by Universal Pictures, which acquired the rights following the expiration of Sony Pictures’ contract after the release of Spectre in 2015.
Danny Boyle originally attached to direct and co-write the screenplay with John Hodge. Both left due to creative differences in August 2018; Fukunaga was announced as Boyle’s replacement a month later. The majority of the cast had signed on by April 2019. Principal photography lasted from April to October 2019 under the working title of Bond 25. The official title was announced to be No Time to Die in August 2019.
