This is one of the best and easiest ways to gain entry to the Cannes film festival. If you have a good connection with any association related to the cinema then try firstly giving an application through them.

But this process takes a very long time because they give invitations on a first come first serve basis. So it takes 3 months at least to get your confirmation letter for the event. And before that at the beginning of April, everyone tries their luck getting into the event by sending their invitation letter to the Cannes film festival.

Step#02 – Through Competition

If you want to get into the event without invitation then you have a chance by entering a short film competition.

First of all, you need to register at the official Cannes festival, and then after submitting it you will receive a mail. But you can’t forget that you must be registered before April 30th.

The program is similar to the Festival de Cannes: they show old and new movies from different genres, a variety of shorts. Usually, there are only three screenings each day – in the morning (10:30 a.m.) noon (2 p.m.), and evening (7:30 p.m.). But during the last weekend of every month, there are more than six screenings per day!
